Festivities really started on Monday, but the good stuff, that started on Friday and went all the way to midnight on Sunday. It was nonstop Halloween awesome. Each night we feasted and baked and stuffed ourselves silly...and now we're fat and on a diet...until Friday, when the Christmas festivities officially kick off! Stay tuned for those pics, if you wanna see how us Molens do Pre-Christmas, its quite fabulous!

Red Carpet

Last weekend I had the opportunity to do makeup for a red carpet event, the 2010 Crystal and Lucy Awards to be exact. My client is Amanda Schull, you may know her from the cult classic movie "Center Stage?" She's a professional ballerina, obviously an actress and drop dead gorgeous! I couldn't help but snap up a few pics after I did her makeup, while she was getting her hair done. Oh, and then of course, I ALWAYS have to include a couple pictures of my boy!

These next 2 months are prolly gonna be the busiest months of my life. What with traveling to Seattle twice, San Fran and Ashland OR, wedding season (lots of makeup) and starting up Storiabella, Im gonna be runnin around like a chicken with its head cut off by the end of July! Oh and did I mention, my sweet baby boy is turning 1?!? AHHHHHH! Where on Earth did the last year go? I can't handle it. I admit it, I DO NOT want him to grow anymore. I like this age and think it's perfect for freezing. Oh well, I suppose I'll learn to look at the positives that come with having a big boy...maybe? NO! I just want my baby.

Oh yes, you may have caught another interesting bit of info in my rant of busy-ness. I have started my photography business! Its called "Storiabella," which means "a lovely story" in Italian. I am SOOOO excited about this new adventure and am looking forward to building my portfolio and website (I'll post when its ready!) with my clients I have lined up this summer! Weddings, birthdays, anniversaries and babies, here I come! Im gonna capture you real good. You just wait!

p.s. I am fully aware of how dumb these last 2 sentences sound, but please note that it is in no way a reflection of my skills behind a camera ;)

Have you ever seen a prettier girl in all your life?

These are just a few pics that I've been working on the past couple of days. The ones with all the naked babies were taken last Thursday. It was such a warm, summer day, that we decided to get the kids naked and splash around in the water. Who doesn't love a naked baby! The last few pics of Ama and Gavin, were taken with my new lens that had been suggested by everyone because it has a quick shutter speed, so its great for taking pics of busy little babies. I really like it! Now I have a lens for portraits and weddings, and now, babies too! I really just have to thank my father in law right now. He's the person that got me started in photography and now, because of him, I am making a little business out of it and having a blast doing it! Its such an amazing creative outlet for me and his knowledge and generosity made it possible. Thanks Pa!
