I Have Proof Perfection Does Exist...

....and his name is Gavin Bruce Molen.

Little Gavin was born Thursday July 23rd, 2009 at 1:06 p.m.
He weighed in at 7lbs 2oz and 21in long.

We decided after he was born to change his middle name to Bruce, in honor of James' dad. James said that if he was as good of a father as his dad, then maybe one dayGavin would do the same for his son and name him after James, because he would have earned it. I couldn't have agreed more.

We are home now and getting adjusted to having this new little bundle of love in the house. I am loving every second of it...even though my lil guy has his nights and days a bit mixed up. He is such a good baby, i couldn't have even dreamed him up. I am so in love with him. He has my heart forever.

I'll post more pics later on along with his birth story, but for now I have to go change what sounds to be the worlds messiest diaper.

Nursery and More!

YAYYYYY!!!! I am finally ready for our lil guy! I received his bedding today and am sooooo pleased! My grammy did a BEAUTIFUL job. I had no idea she was going to monogram it with an "M" for Molen, and I couldn't be more delighted. Its so pretty and perfect. I love how classic and classy his room is...no cheesy animals and sports prints for this lil boy (no offense to those that like that...just not my style). Plus, this room has to be neutral for if and when he has a baby sister, the bedding will become hers and so on and so forth. I also threw in some pics of his stroller and my fabulous diaper bag that I picked out months ago, but waited to order til I was closer to D day. James also put together his swing and it is so frikin cute. I am so excited for next Friday, sleeping is just not even an option anymore, I just wake up in anticipation. Welp, next post Im sure will be a good one, cause I'm pretty sure it will be after i pop him out...unless I do more to the nursery, which actually is a big possibility.

Oh, P.S. Sorry about some of the pictures being off, I don't know what is going on with them lately. We got a new camera and maybe I'm just using it wrong, but its so random. Maybe someone (Stacy) can tell me whats going on with it?

4th of July...preggers style

I know all my posts always have something to do with being pregs, but that was kinda the whole point of starting a blog, so sorry bout that. But, don't worry, cause pretty soon it will be all about Gavin! I went to the docs on Wednesday, and it went perfect as usual. His head is dropped and in position. He only weighs about 5 1/2 lbs, thank goodness! I was a lil worried I had a big baby on my hands, but its just me thats big, so thats good, I guess? I have been contracting like crazy for 2 weeks now, and they're only getting worse as each day goes by, so hopefully he'll make an early appearance. The doc will induce me in 2 1/2 weeks if I don't go on my own. 2 1/2 weeks!!!!! I cant believe it!!! I am so not ready for this, yet I so am! Weird.

So, I did my last make up job of my pregnancy on Saturday, 4th of July, and it was pretty tough on me. I ended up doing one more person than I had anticipated, so James and I couldn't really go do anything exciting, not to mention I was in a lot of pain by the time I got home. Well, it turned out to be the best 4th of July a girl could ever ask for! When my handsome got the call from me, letting him know I was going to be home later than planned, he knew I would be exhausted and wanted to make the night wonderful for me. When I came home, the house was lit up by candle light, Practical Magic was on (0ne of my favorite movies), and he had slaved all day making me the sweetest, not to mention most aesthetically pleasing dinner ever! I couldn't believe it! He made the most delicious deviled eggs I've ever had in my entire life (which I'm craving this very moment), chocolate covered strawberries and bananas, goat cheese salad with strawberries and cranberries, delicious sour cream salsa and lime chips, and marinated steaks. How lucky am I??? He told me he wanted to give me a great 4th of July even though we couldn't really go do anything and he wanted me to relax after a hard day. This preparation took him hours, and it showed. I'm seriously the luckiest girl in the world.

Also, I threw in some pics of me at 36 wks. Not the best I've ever looked, but its getting down to the wire so I decided to take weekly pics from here on out, no matter how unflattering they are. Welp, next post will be Gavins nursery hopefully. Its almost complete, I'm just waiting on the gorgeous bedding my grandma is making for his crib....seriously its amazing! My mom and I bought all the fabric, so I could have it just the way I envisioned...none of that cheesy bedding that seems to be saturating the department stores. My grandma is a master seamstress and has put so much work into his bedding. I'm so grateful for her and can't wait to see the finished product... Thank you grammy!
