I know all my posts always have something to do with being pregs, but that was kinda the whole point of starting a blog, so sorry bout that. But, don't worry, cause pretty soon it will be all about Gavin! I went to the docs on Wednesday, and it went perfect as usual. His head is dropped and in position. He only weighs about 5 1/2 lbs, thank goodness! I was a lil worried I had a big baby on my hands, but its just me thats big, so thats good, I guess? I have been contracting like crazy for 2 weeks now, and they're only getting worse as each day goes by, so hopefully he'll make an early appearance. The doc will induce me in 2 1/2 weeks if I don't go on my own. 2 1/2 weeks!!!!! I cant believe it!!! I am so not ready for this, yet I so am! Weird.
So, I did my last make up job of my pregnancy on Saturday, 4th of July, and it was pretty tough on me. I ended up doing one more person than I had anticipated, so James and I couldn't really go do anything exciting, not to mention I was in a lot of pain by the time I got home. Well, it turned out to be the best 4th of July a girl could ever ask for! When my handsome got the call from me, letting him know I was going to be home later than planned, he knew I would be exhausted and wanted to make the night wonderful for me. When I came home, the house was lit up by candle light, Practical Magic was on (0ne of my favorite movies), and he had slaved all day making me the sweetest, not to mention most aesthetically pleasing dinner ever! I couldn't believe it! He made the most delicious deviled eggs I've ever had in my entire life (which I'm craving this very moment), chocolate covered strawberries and bananas, goat cheese salad with strawberries and cranberries, delicious sour cream salsa and lime chips, and marinated steaks. How lucky am I??? He told me he wanted to give me a great 4th of July even though we couldn't really go do anything and he wanted me to relax after a hard day. This preparation took him hours, and it showed. I'm seriously the luckiest girl in the world.
Also, I threw in some pics of me at 36 wks. Not the best I've ever looked, but its getting down to the wire so I decided to take weekly pics from here on out, no matter how unflattering they are. Welp, next post will be Gavins nursery hopefully. Its almost complete, I'm just waiting on the gorgeous bedding my grandma is making for his crib....seriously its amazing! My mom and I bought all the fabric, so I could have it just the way I envisioned...none of that cheesy bedding that seems to be saturating the department stores. My grandma is a master seamstress and has put so much work into his bedding. I'm so grateful for her and can't wait to see the finished product... Thank you grammy!
